The First Blog-Post Complexities

I try not be associated with genres or try to associate things I like in genres. I write poems but I like to critique TV shows too and give my commentary on certain things . So when wix asked me, "what kind of blog do you want?" and other subsequent questions, I just kept choosing "other". Does that sound indecisive? Maybe. What sounds more indecisive is how I thought about the first blog post I would have.

It's a rather difficult decision when you're not just writing one thing. If I had a blog that was primarily poems, I'd just put a random poem I wrote on here and call it a day. Now I kept asking people about what kind of blog-post I should have but after getting tired I decided to go for something meta. What's more meta than talking about how difficult it is to come up with a plausible topic for a blog inside a blog? That may make me sound smart, nothing more to add here.

Before I came up with this idea, I thought of maybe writing what's going to happen in this blog as the first blog-post but that's in my "About" section. Talking about myself and what I'm like? Come on, Naomi, if you talk too much about yourself you will come off as an self-obsessed and I-centric egomaniac and that can't be good because people didn't waste their time for that. Well now that you read the last sentence, you might think of me as an over-thinker which is actually true- hey, you win a cookie!

I've been thinking about blogs for a long time, no doubt about that... but one question always arises when you're kind of a nobody (like me): who will come here and how? Well those are good questions but aren't a lot of nobodies worrying about the same thing and getting recognized from time to time? See, sometimes even overthinking helps.

As an introvert, I have trouble striking up conversations because I'm simply not interested in small talk. What I like is just sharing my interests with other people and talking about that. I never look for a group of 'cool' kids to hang out with since like most people, I prefer diversity of thought and interests.
